Creative Operations Manager | Senior Content Producer
2023–2025
Associate Director, Heavin Studio, ArtCenter College of Design
Built and maintained a creative pipeline for a recently-realigned internal media production department at a leading design college, growing throughput from ~6 to ~80 annual projects, while reducing delivery timelines from multiple months to 3-4 weeks, without additional staffing.
Improved the intake process by creating a new form on the school’s internal website with required fields for intended audience and distribution, which helped inform the prioritization of productions.
Managed a prioritization framework that balanced intended audience, organizational impact, timeline, budget, department goals, and team bandwidth.
Developed new operational standards for multi-camera capture, lighting, and composition to improve overall quality control, consistency, and branding for the college’s media presence.
Hired, trained, and supervised student workers on production and post-production processes.
2019–2023
Director of Photography, Freelance
Directed the visuals for branded content and nonfiction film productions for clients including Airbnb, Amazon Alexa, Red Bull, and DoorDash, among others.
Managed department budgets ranging from $10K–$50K, including hiring and managing camera and lighting crews, equipment, and vendors.
Balanced tradeoffs between locations, schedule, budget, crew, equipment, and other resources, leveraging prior experience to predict potential pitfalls and manage real-world constraints.
Managed creative logistics in extreme environments, including filming on the Amazon River with climate scientists in Brazil, as well as filming sled dogs in sub-zero temps in Denali National Park, Alaska.
Selected for the American Society of Cinematographers Vision Mentorship Program, where I shadowed cinematographer Matthew Jensen during the production of The Mandalorian.
2018–2019
Producer/Director, "Adaptive"
Produced and directed a 35-minute documentary following two adaptive athletes attempting a 2,000-foot rock climb in remote Canada, which involved a month-long off-grid expedition and extensive logistics.
Secured all funding for the project through brand partnerships while retaining full ownership of the film and footage, which allowed me to later license the footage to both National Geographic and HBO Max.
The film screened at 10+ festivals and 100+ community events, and it is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
2012–2018
Editor, Multiple Production Houses
(Sender Films, Envision Response, B47 Studios)
Created stringouts, selects, rough cuts, final cuts, and revisions, as well as color correction and sound editing.
Migrated an entire company’s media archive from RAID storage to a centralized local server and proxy-based cloud system for remote access.
2014
Intern, Creative Services, Bob Industries
Developed pitch decks for commercial directors to help win bids, including multiple Super Bowl commercials.
