Overview
A short documentary following climbers attempting the first all-adaptive ascent of a remote 2,000’ wall in Northern Canada. Shot over several weeks in a fully remote expedition environment.
The Problem
The story couldn’t be planned, and weather, logistics, or physical limits could prevent the climb entirely. The challenge was to create a compelling film without knowing the outcome.
The Approach
Designed a flexible narrative centered on people, not results. Focused on capturing the full experience, waiting, setbacks, and small human moments, so the story could emerge naturally.

The Outcome
The film became a story about resilience rather than achievement. It was accepted into a dozen+ festivals, screened at 100+ venues, and featured in major press.
Reflection
This project reinforced the importance of capturing truth over forcing narrative. When you design for uncertainty, you end up with something more authentic and more impactful.
