Overview
Cinematographer for a branded film capturing one of Airbnb’s most unconventional stays, a boot-shaped home, created for the Unique Fund campaign.
The Problem
Airbnb wanted to celebrate unique stays in a way that felt human and grounded. The challenge was capturing a boot-shaped house without turning it into a gimmick, and finding a tone that felt whimsical, but still believable.
The Approach
I focused on treating the space like a real home rather than a novelty, leaning into natural light, texture, and lived-in moments to make it feel warm and authentic.
Visually, I kept the camera close and intentional, using framing and movement to reveal the personality of the home without overstating it.
Working within the tight interior, every shot had to be deliberate, balancing intimacy with just enough space to let the environment breathe.
The Work
The Outcome
The final film became part of Airbnb’s Unique Fund campaign, helping showcase how even the most unconventional spaces can feel personal, welcoming, and real.
Reflection
This project was about restraint, letting the character of the space speak for itself, and finding the line between playful and genuine.
