Overview

Cinematographer for multiple brand films focused on capturing the lifestyle of staying at Stoney Creek, shifting the focus from the property itself to the experience of being there.

The Problem

Stoney Creek wanted to attract families, but traditional hotel marketing tends to focus on rooms and amenities. The challenge was to create something that felt more emotional and lived-in, showing why people would want to be there, not just what the hotel offers.

The Approach

I focused on telling the story through moments rather than features, leaning into natural interactions between families, kids, and shared spaces to create a sense of warmth and connection.

Visually, we prioritized movement, light, and environment, capturing the rhythm of a stay rather than staging it. Instead of isolating amenities, we embedded them into real experiences, allowing the hotel to exist as a backdrop to memory-making.

The goal was to make the viewer feel like they were already there.

The Work

The Outcome

The final films positioned Stoney Creek as a place defined by experience and atmosphere, helping shift the brand toward a more lifestyle-driven identity that resonates with families.

Reflection

This project was about perspective, realizing that what people remember isn’t the room, but how it felt to be there.
